If you are feeling overwhelmed, trapped in old patterns, or would like help navigating the challenges life can bring, I am here to support you. My name is Alma, and I work with people of all ages to cultivate a sense of peace in themselves and their relationships.
Together we will explore how your experiences have shaped you, gain awareness around how you respond to stress, and get curious about what is getting in the way of you feeling better. We will find comfortable and practical ways for you to feel more grounded and connected.
I offer play therapy for children and adolescents, parent coaching, and individual therapy for teens and adults. Whether playing on the floor with monster trucks or building worlds in the sand tray, I pull my clients’ strengths and interests into sessions while establishing safety, choice, and trust. Building a strong relationship is the foundation of our work together. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds and seek to understand each person’s unique path in the world. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and have experience working with neurotypical, neurodivergent, and twice exceptional children and adults with a variety of presenting concerns such as anxiety, life transitions, grief, loss, trauma, depression and more. I use techniques from Internal Family Systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, and polyvagal theory to inform my practice, yet my approach is flexible. I use a variety of

Connor Welz, Intern
I believe that some of the most disorienting experiences a person can face: grief, loss of meaning, the slow erosion of identity that depression and anxiety can bring, are not signs of weakness, but of being fully human. My work is grounded in that conviction.
As a graduate intern completing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I bring an unusual depth of experience to the counseling room. Over the past four years, I've worked as a clinic manager and TMS technician, sitting with patients navigating treatment-resistant depression and anxiety through neuromodulation and esketamine therapy. Before that, I supported individuals through acute substance withdrawal and worked as a behavioral health technician with children with autism. I've spent years alongside people in their hardest moments and that shapes how I show up as a clinician.
My approach draws on existential and attachment frameworks. I'm especially drawn to questions of meaning-making: how we construct a coherent self in the wake of loss, how grief reorganizes our sense of who we are, and how the bonds we form, or fail to form, leave lasting imprints. My research explores these questions formally, including work on perceived presence experiences in bereavement and the phenomenology of grief.
In sessions, I aim to be genuinely curious rather than directive. I don't believe people need to be fixed. I believe they need space to understand themselves more fully, and a relationship in which that feels safe.
